Sunless Tanning Tips

As the weather starts warming up its time to start breaking out those cute little sun dresses and shorts. One problem is our skin hasn’t seen the sun in months and is in need of some color! Safe tanning is very important so finding a good sunless tanner is like hitting the jackpot. It can be a challenge to find a good sunless tanner so we have put together some tips and tricks  to help you achieve that perfect summer glow.

There are many options to choose from that it may take a few attempts to find the perfect one that works for you. Sometimes you will find out that one will work better for your body and a different one for your face. Below are some of our favorites!

Body:

St. Tropez - They have products that go from a gradual tan all the way to a fast express tan. If you are looking for a quick tan St. Tropez is a great option. The bronzing mousse will give you a quick natural glow, but you will definitely want to use a mitt for best results. It is also a good idea to moisturize any dry areas before applying. The tinted moisturizer is another option if you are wanting a more gradual tan.

Coola - This lotion will give you such a beautiful glow with no orange tint. All organic ingredients that will moisturize your skin! You can find this at Ulta and Amazon.

Jergens Natural Glow - This is a good option if you are looking for more of a gradual tan and don't want to spend a lot of money. You can use this as your daily moisturizer and by the end of the week you will see a nice tan. 

Face:

Coola, Organic Sunless Tan Anti-Aging Face Serum - Enjoy a beautiful glow on your face with this serum! This is actually made for your face so no breakouts and it is also anti-aging. You can use this alone or mix in with your daily moisturizer for a natural looking tan.

Loreal Wipes - This is a great go to for a quick glow. The wipes come in packets so you can keep them in your purse and are very easy to use. They are very affordable and can be found at almost every store!

Tips & Tricks

1. Before you apply your sunless tanner it’s a good idea to exfoliate your skin. You can do this in the shower and it will help make your tan more even when applied.

2.Use a mitt! This will help you from streaking and also keep your hands from looking discolored. If you do not own a mitt, washing your hands after applying will help them from having harsh lines.

3.After applying your sunless tanner, wait a few minutes before putting your clothes on. You want to make sure your skin is dry so you don’t streak!

4.When its time to wash your tan off or you notice it is becoming uneven, exfoliating again is always a good idea to get your skin back to an even tone.
